The only correctly manufactured rubber seal for the m38 windshield to. And being proactive i purchased a new plastic cowl cover because the current one would not seal against the windshield. The body, not to thick like others on the market.

Thinking The Plastic Cowl Was Warped.
So it seems like there will be a dealer visit soon. Replace the complete windshield seal as a unit. I removed the engine cover, removed the wiper blades and then the plastic cowl cover prior to the windshield guy showing up.

Inject sealer deep between the rubber gasket and frame and do it in phases. I replaced my windshield on my 2007 335i today. This is located between the windshield frame and body, and even if you do not lower your windshield this seal will dry rot over time.
